Developers continue to build

Despite the doom and gloom on interest rates on mortgages, its interesting to see that many small development firms are continuing to acquire land and start new housing schemes. Lenders are still keen to support these, and we have seen a number of new enquiries over recent weeks.

We have access to the whole of the development finance market, and can obtain as much as 90% of the land price and development costs of a scheme. Whilst interest rates have increased somewhat, its probably fair to say that funders have not increased costs as much as you might expect. There are probably over 100 specialist development funds in the market competing for business so lots of options to consider.
